From designing street theatre campaigns to conducting street theatre workshops for social activists, tribal and rural women of grassroots organizations, school and college students, to training tribal theatre troupes, to supporting Devgadh Baria Communication Team-an adivasi women’s team based in Devgadh Baria, district Panchmahal and Fade-in Theatre-a campus based theatre group based in Ahmedabad city, to supporting any effort towards developing scripts on women’s and human rights issues for the mainstream theatre productions, Drishti’s activism in the theatre community has helped groom a whole generation of theatre artists and directors with an activist bent.

        We believe that Theatre has the capacity to influence social attitudes and beliefs emotions, humor, music, drama, and to propagate values of democracy, social justice and gender equality. It can be a very effective medium to contribute to struggles for a just, humane and peaceful society.
